BRS Working President KTR criticized the Governor's speech

BRS working president KTR strongly criticised Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma's speech, comparing it to the Congress press conference held at Gandhi Bhavan. Speaking to reporters at the Assembly Media Point after the governor's address, KTR expressed disappointment, saying the speech failed to address key concerns such as the government's "420 promises" and six guarantees.

Accused of misleading the governor

“We had hoped that the governor’s speech would provide relief or assurance amid the state’s ongoing agrarian crisis,” KTR said, accusing the Congress government of misleading the governor by claiming a successful loan waiver. He alleged that farmers were facing immense hardship, the drought situation was worsening, and crops were drying up.

Extensive damage to crops in Godavari basin

KTR blamed Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy for the irrigation crisis, particularly citing negligence in repairing the Medigadda project, which he claimed had caused extensive damage to crops in the Godavari basin. KTR also accused the Congress government of failing to provide adequate support to farmers, criticised the absence of Raithu Bandhu benefits, and claimed that farmer suicides had increased. He urged the government to take immediate action to address the crisis and support the farming community.
