In the hearing held on Thursday, senior advocate C. Nageswara Rao argued on behalf of Chevireddy Mohit Reddy. He requested the court to issue an interim order directing the CID officials not to take any strict action against him in the meantime, seeking quashing of the case registered against his client by the CID. However, Advocate General (AG) Dammalapati Srinivas strongly opposed this request.
AG Dammalapati Srinivas brought an important matter to the attention of the High Court. He said that Mohith Reddy has already filed a petition for anticipatory bail in the Vijayawada court. On the one hand, while trying for anticipatory bail in the lower court, on the other hand, the AG argued that it was not right to seek interim orders without taking strict action on the quash petition in the High Court. He reported to the court that this was an abuse of the legal process.

The High Court agreed with the arguments of AG Dammalapati Srinivas. While the anticipatory bail petition was pending in the lower court, it expressed strong objection to the interim orders sought in the quash petition in the High Court. It advisedMohit Reddy to hear the arguments related to anticipatory bail in the Vijayawada court itself and obtain appropriate orders there.
To this end, the High Court rejected the interim request of the lawyers representing Mohith Reddy.Directing the CID to file a counter affidavit in the case, the court adjourned the further hearing to Wednesday.. High Court Judge Justice K. Srinivasa Reddy issued these orders. Chevireddy Mohit Reddy has not received any relief from this verdict for the time being.
CID notices to Mohit Reddy, he fails to appear for the hearing
The CID has named Chevireddy Mohit Reddy as the 39th accused in the AP liquor scam case. As part of the investigation into this case, it recently issued notices to Mohit Reddy to appear for the hearing. However, Mohit Reddy did not respond to the CID notices. He remained absent from the hearing. In this context, he approached the High Court.
