The order came on a plea filed by the filmmakers challenging the demand of the Revising Committee of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) to remove or change the name "Janaki" from the film, which has been used throughout the story.
Justice N. Nagaresh said in his order, "It is appropriate to watch the film before passing the order." The CBFC had objected to the use of the name 'Janaki' in the film.
