Telangana Govt Schools: Admissions increased in government schools

Confidence in government schools in Telanganaisgrowing. According to the latest statistics, 3.68 lakh students have taken admission in government schools so far for the academic year 2024-25. This is significantly higher than the 2.9 lakh registered during the same period last year.

The highest enrollment is in primary grades.

The highest number of these students were enrolled in class one, 1,38,153, followed by classes two to ten, with 2,29,919. Education officials attributed this growth to improvements in government schools, improved infrastructure, and quality teaching.

Top position in Rangareddy district

District-wise, Rangareddy district topped the list with 36,325 students. The highest number of admissions was recorded in the mandals bordering Hyderabad and urban areas. According to officials, the admissions process will continue till the end of August. This is believed to be a sign of increasing public support for the government education system.
