Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced that India will host the AI ??Impact Summit next year.The summit will examine the impact of the growing Artificial Intelligence (AI) and harness its potential. Modi said that the event is designed to bring together countries around the world to work together for responsible AI.

Use of AI in agriculture, health, and education

The Prime Minister said that India is already rapidly expanding the use of AI in key sectors like agriculture, health and education. He said that AI is being used for accurate weather forecasts for farmers, intelligent learning schemes for students, and rapid diagnosis in the health sector. All these are being used to improve the standard of living of the people.

Global standards are needed for content authenticity

Modi suggested that global standards need to be brought in to ensure the authenticity of digital content produced with AI. Technology should be in place to identify the source of content. This, he said, would increase transparency and prevent misuse. Modi clarified that the world is rapidly moving towards AI, and that is why it is time for India to take a key leadership role.
