A young man named Chodapalli Yarraiah, from Pudimadaka in Achyutapuram mandal of Anakapalle district, along with his younger brother Korlayya, Ganagalla Appalaraju and three others named Vasupalli Yallaji, went fishing early on Wednesday morning.They started fishing after going 30 kilometers from the seashore. While casting a line for fish, they caught a Kommukonam fish. Its weight can reach 100 kg. They were happy that they had caught a big fish. Yarraiah tried to pull the fish with a rope. However, Yarraiah could not withstand the strength of the fish. In this process, the fish pulled Yarraiah into the sea. Yarraiah fell into the water from the boat.

Yarraiah, his younger brother, drowned in the sea before the eyes of fellow fishermen. Yarraiah's younger brother Korlayya immediately conveyed this information to the locals.
