Srisailam: Free touch darshan in Srisailam cancelled

The free touch darshan at the Srisailam Mallikarjuna Swamy Templehasbeen temporarily canceled, said temple EO M. Srinivasa Rao. The decision was announced as a security measure as the number of devotees is likely to increase significantly from July 15 to 18. Officials expect a high influx of devotees during this time due to various special programs and festivals at the temple.

Special times for touch darshan every week

It is known that in recent times, free touch darshan is being provided every Tuesday to Friday from 1.45 pm to 3.34 pm. However, ticket booking is mandatory one day in advance for this darshan. Devotees have to book tickets online or at the counter. With this system, devotees are getting the opportunity to have a close darshan of the Lord in less time.

Decision as part of security measures

Officials said that this temporary decision has been taken to control the movement of devotees in the temple premises and to ensure more regularity. Devotees are requested to plan in advance so that they do not face any inconvenience due to the temporary suspension of touch darshan. The EO said that there is a possibility of resuming touch darshan after reviewing the situation after July 19.
