Hyderabad (Nampally): Telangana State Legislative Council Chairman Gutha Sukender Reddy has suggested that the Vice President of the university should take steps towards the university,which was established with the aim of preserving the Telugu language and culture,not only giving awards to talented people, intellectuals and experts in various fields every year, but also recognizing and encouraging young people with passion and interest in literary and cultural fields and developing and promoting their creativepotential.
University campus in NampallyNandamuri Taraka Rama RaoIn the evening, the 2023 Pratibha Awards were presented at the Kalavedika under the chairmanship of the Vice President of the University, Acharya Veludanda Nitya Nanda Rao. Gutta Sukhem Darreddy, who was the chief guest, was accompanied by Singareni Collieries CMD M. Balaram, University Registrar Acharya Kotla Hanumantha Rao, Additional Director of Extension Services, Ringu Ramamurthy, along with 12 eminent personalities who have rendered special services in various fields, including Elanagu (Poetry), Dr. Prabhala Janaki (Criticism), Acharya R. Lakshmi Reddy (Written), A. Sampath Reddy (Sculpture), Perini Ramesh Lal (Dance), B. Haripriya (music), Kasula Pratap Reddy (journalism), Gummadi Gopalakrishna (drama), Kadakanchi Papayya (folklore), Dhulipala Mahadevamani (attention), Acharya K. Malayavasini (best writer), and Dr. Shantinarayana (novel/story) were felicitated by presenting them with a cash award of Rs 20,116, a shawl, and a letter of appreciation, praising their services and expressing their best wishes.

M. Balaram said that it is a joy to have the responsibility of preserving our mother tongue, Telugu. In his presidential address, Acharya Nityananda Rao introduced the awardees to the assembly and explained their extraordinary talents. First, Kotla Hanumantha Rao, in his welcome address, detailed the efforts being made by Telugu University in various fields. Finally, the awardees thanked the university in their response. Ringu Ramamurthy acted as the program coordinator.
