Heart Attacks: Heart attack deaths in Hassan: 24 people die in 40 days

People are starting to fear that this is not a normal situation. Recently, a young man named Sanjay died of a heart attack on Tuesday. Sanjay, a resident of Somanahalli in Holenarasipura taluka, fell seriously ill due to high blood pressure while going to a party with his friends. When his friends took him to the local PHC due to chest pain, the doctors revealed that he had already died.

Doctors' comments on BP and diabetes as the main causes

Former Director of Jayadeva Hospital, MP Manjunath said that high blood pressure (BP) is the main cause of heart attacks. He also said that factors like diabetes, eating habits, insomnia, and stress also affect it. He advised that if there is any doubt, one should immediately consult a doctor. State Chief Minister Siddaramaiah reacted strongly to the series of sudden deaths. He ordered the officials to take steps to explain the reasons behind heart attack deaths in Hassan district and to create awareness among the people.

High-level committee for analysis

A high-level committee has been formed under the leadership of Dr. Ravindranath, Director of Jayadeva Heart Hospitals. The CM has ordered that this committee submit a report within ten days. This seems to be a key step to prevent more deaths in the future. Medical experts are giving important advice to the people those with BP and sugar should get tested regularly. They said that if you experience chest pain or discomfort in your lungs, you should go to the hospital immediately.
