Today (July 8) is the birth anniversary of YS Rajasekhara Reddy (YSR). The things that come to mind when everyone hears his name are Aarogyasri, 108 emergency vehicle service, 104 health services, fee reimbursement for students, all related to the life of the common man. The schemes he launched have left a lasting impression on the lives of the people. Especially in the health sector, the Aarogyasri scheme has become a model for the country.

Congress victory under YSR leadership

YSR's padayatra in 2003 was a turning point in his career, winning the hearts of the people. As a result, the Congress party came to power in 2004. Having regained the trust of the people through his selfless service attitude and the welfare schemes he implemented, YSR won the Chief Minister's post for the second time in 2009. But his death in a helicopter crash on September 2 of the same year plunged the people of Andhra Pradesh into grief.

Political career an invincible leader

YSR has never seen defeat in his 31-year political career. He has won 6 times as an MLA and 4 times as an MP. He has a special place in the hearts of the people as a leader who has directly connected with the people and worked with commitment on their problems.
