Sensational details are emerging in the gold smuggling case involving Kannada actress Ranya Rao. There are suspicions that prominent individuals are involved in the gold smuggling from Dubai to Bangalore. Senior IPS officer Ranya Rao’s stepfather seems to be linked to the case. DRI officials are preparing to question Ranya Rao’s stepfather. The DRI is focusing on the police officers who escorted Ranya Rao and investigating the role of others in the gold smuggling. They are also preparing to question Ranya Rao in connection with money laundering.

Recently, the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) conducted searches at her residence on Wednesday and seized a massive amount of cash and gold worth crores of rupees. The officials seized gold worth ₹2.06 crores and cash worth ₹2.67 crores. Ranya Rao was caught red-handed at Bangalore airport yesterday while smuggling 15 kilograms of gold. The Bangalore court has remanded her for 14 days. Initial investigations suggest that she was smuggling gold from foreign countries through Delhi to Bangalore.

The gold smuggling case involving Ranya Rao is currently shaking up the Kannada film industry. DRI officials have identified that Ranya Rao made four trips to Dubai from Bangalore within 15 days. On one occasion, she traveled to Dubai four times within just seven days. There are suspicions that several influential people are involved in her gold smuggling activities. Each time, Ranya Rao returned home from Bangalore airport under police escort. Moreover, it is reported that she managed to avoid checks by claiming to be the daughter of the DGP. However, what has now become sensational is the question of whether Ranya Rao’s gold smuggling activities are connected to her stepfather, the senior IPS officer.
