New ration cards will be issued starting from Ugadi!

Hyderabad: The Telangana government has provided an update on the issuance of new ration cards. The government announced that new ration cards will be issued starting from Ugadi. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy approved the design for the new ration cards on Tuesday. He directed officials to create the new ration card in a light blue color. The design will feature photographs of both CM Revanth Reddy and Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy. Additionally, a QR code will also be included on the new ration card.

New Ration Cards from Ugadi

The state currently has 80 lakh white ration cards. The government has decided to issue new ration cards to those who already have one. CM Revanth Reddy instructed officials to distribute the new ration cards to all existing cardholders. Eligible individuals can apply for the new ration cards at Meeseva centers. As a result, people are lining up at these centers. Since the ration card is crucial for accessing welfare schemes from both the central and state governments, there has been a large number of applications for the new cards.

Ration Cards for Every Eligible Family

The Ugadi festival will be celebrated on March 30 this year, and CM Revanth Reddy will inaugurate the issuance process on that day. He has decided that every eligible family will receive a ration card. There has been a significant response for new ration card applications in Telangana. Applications are being accepted through Prajavani, Gram Sabhas, and Meeseva centers. So far, officials report that around 13 lakh applications have been received for the new ration cards.
