TGSRTC: Now free WiFi at bus stands too

Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) is moving towards using modern technology to further improve its service level. With the main objective of improving the passenger experience, making travel in buses more comfortable and making waiting time at bus stands more useful, the RTC has recently started preparations to provide WiFi facility. It has already held discussions with a private internet company. This proposal has been brought to the notice of the state government. RTC officials gave a power point presentation on this plan in a review meeting recently organized by TransportMinister Ponnam Prabhakar. Minister Ponnam, who was satisfied with the presentation, gave the green signal for the implementation of the WiFi facility.

RTC management is assessing

With this, the RTC management has intensified its efforts to accelerate this innovative plan. In the first phase, WiFi services will be made available in all types of buses and bus stations. Passengers will be able to watch pre-selected movies and songs on their mobile phones. In the next phase, there is a plan to provide general internet facilities as well. However, advertisements will appear in between while watching these movies and songs. The RTC management is estimating that the company will generate huge income through theseadvertisements. The income generated through these advertisements will be shared equally between the internet company and the RTC management.

Attracting public transportation

This will enable RTC to generate additional revenue for the organization while providing entertainment to the passengers. This is a great opportunity for the passengers to spend their waiting time or travel time happily. By providing modern facilities, more people will be attracted to the public transport system, thereby further strengthening the financial position of the organization.TGSRTCIt seems to be targeted. Passengers will be able to carry out their work through the internet even while waiting for their bus. Students and employees will be able to work without spending their data. It will also be more useful for tourists.
