Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy (CM Revanth) conducted a high-level review of the education department and took several key decisions. He announced several reforms to strengthen the education system in the state. As part of this review, issues such as Young India Integrated Residential Schools, improving the quality of intermediate education, and granting new posts were discussed.

Young India Residential Schools

In each assembly constituency of Telangana, one for boys and one for girls.Establishment of Young India Integrated Residential SchoolsChief Minister Revanth Reddy announced that the land acquisition for the first phase of schools has already been completed and the officials have been instructed to focus on the construction of the second phase of schools. It is noteworthy that the government had earlier planned to set up anintegrated schoolin each of the 105 constituencies except Hyderabad , but now the CM has announced that two schools will be built per constituency.

During this review, the Chief Minister examined the models of the buildings of Young India Residential Schools and the model of the building of Veeranari Chakali Ailamma Mahila University and suggested some changes. He ordered that a huge national flag be installed in every Young India school. The CM directed the officials to speed up the construction process of the schools, submit a report to him every week on the progress of the construction, and complete the tender process quickly.

Focus on intermediate education

CM Revanth Reddy expressed concern over the significant decrease in the number of students passing the tenth class, despite the fact that a large number of students are passing the intermediate. He advised the officials to identify the reasons why the intermediate pass percentage is decreasing and work towards a solution. He emphasized that the intermediate stage is crucial in the life of every student and they need to get proper guidance at this time. The Chief Minister said that it is necessary to ensure that everyone who has passed the tenth class completes the intermediate and that attention should be paid to their attendance along with admissions. He said that for the improvement of intermediate education, we should discuss it at all stages and even discuss it in the Legislative Assembly.

Officials explained to the Chief Minister that in other states, education up to class 12 is provided in schools, which is why dropouts are low there. In this regard, the CM ordered a study to be conducted in states where schools up to class 12 are provided and states where intermediate is separate and submit a report.

Granting of new posts, creation of infrastructure

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has given the green signal for the sanction of 273 teaching andnon-teaching posts in 18 government junior colleges established after the formation of Telangana till 2023.The Finance Department has approved the proposals sent by the Inter Education Department. The CM has recently signed the sanction file for the posts. A GO will be issued on this soon. After that, they will be filled through TGPSC.

There are 430 government junior colleges in the state, and internet facilities will also be provided in them. In addition, the CM has agreed to sanction interactive plot panels (IFP) for digital classes, big TVs for online coaching like JEE, NEET, EAMCET, Inter board sources clarified.
