Local Elections: The election process in Telangana will be completed by the end of August!

The localbody elections in Telanganawill be completed by the end of August. The state government is ready for this. According to government sources, it has been decided to hold the parishad elections first and then the sarpanch elections. According to the High Court orders, the election process needs to be completed by September 30.

Governor approves amendment to law

The Governor is likely to approve the ordinance to amend the Panchayat Raj Act soon. The ordinance is expected to be approved within a week. After that, the government is taking steps to finalize the reservations within fifteen days. The government is especially focused on implementing 42 percent reservation for BCs.

State Election Commission actively making arrangements

The State Election Commission is rapidly making the necessary arrangements for the conduct of the elections, along with other processes. Work is underway on issues such as booth arrangements and finalization of the voters' list. The government is taking the lead in coordinating with all departments to conduct the elections transparently this time.
