It has been found that the aircraft crashed due to a disruption in the fuel supply and the engines did not work. In this context, inspections have been started across the country on the fuel control system in aircraft.

DGCA orders inspections on all aircraft

Keeping this incident in mind, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has issued a key order. It has directed that a complete inspection of Boeing 787 and 737 model aircraft in the country be carried out by July 21. It has specifically ordered that the fuel control switch locking mechanism be checked to see if it is working. This decision has been taken with the aim of improving safety with precautionary measures so that the accident does not remain an accident.

There is no problem with Boeing 787-8 Air India explains

Air India has responded to this situation. It has clarified that there are no defects in the locking mechanism of the fuel control switches in the Boeing 787-8 aircraft in use. It has said that all the aircraft are safe and there is no need for any concern at present. Air India has clarified that the safety of passengers is its priority. The company has stated that inspections are ongoing as per the DGCA directives and that immediate action will be taken if any defects are found.
